Damo is getting married

We all wish Damo the best for his forthcoming nuptuals. It's high time that he tied the knot with the lovely Katie. He's buggering off on a nice extended honeymoon. (Apparently the rest of FOOC can't come along as it would cramp his style - oh well).... But in the mean time Steve, Kris and Ash will be re-designing this website and also demoing our "new direction"... Kris has been unhealthily listening to far too much Gang of Four, and Ash only listens to Taverner and Steve Reich these days, so expect something pretty bloody bizarre from us over the next few months... The Rave-Gaze revolution starts here... Sort of... ;)

SINGLE RELEASE IMMINENT

We have finished the artwork for our single and it's at the mastering stage.. It's being mastered by Streaky at E-Masters, who has worked on a huge list of pretty famous acts. Including: Paul Weller, The Duke Spirit, Engineers, Feeder, Kasabian and Pulp. What this means for us is unknown as he may make us actually sound incredible... Whatever.. It's nice to have a professional mastering dude on board to spruce us up and add magic pixie dust on the mix.

The single will be available from all good record shops in August. It will be individually numbered in a run of 500. We will also be running a competition nearer the time so you can get your hands on it for absolutely nada. Watch this space then.

Anyway, here's the artwork.

RECORDING IS FINISHED

We have finished mixing the tracks for our debut EP. Thanks a lot to Rich at Randomcolours for doing a sterling job at engineering our 800 layers of guitars and making some semblance of sense out of it all.

We'll be keeping you informed of a release date for this. We are in talks with various labels who have expressed an interest in putting it out. Should be out reasonably soon.

We will have a limited amount of CDR promo versions available at our live shows until then. Just come and ask us for one. :)

Bull and Gate Gig

Excellent venue, brilliant sound man...

Due to shitting Razorlight playing next door at the Forum, fucking empty..

Now we don't give a shit really, its a free rehearsal, but surely there has to be a way for promoters to get people through the door? I'd suggest either making the gig free on a Sunday night or giving away a little bit of free beer.

One of the bands had come from Wales... OK, you might blame their management, for booking the gig without casing up the joint/looking at the London scene on a Sunday night, which is admittedly deader than the sound of a band playing to nobody... But then, surely the promoter needs to get people in..

Something we can't understand frankly. The promoter makes all the money from the door, often, bands make absolutely shit all. It costs them a fortune in petrol to get to the gig, etc..

We'd rather play parties, fun events, weddings and bahmitzvas than trawl round the shitty toilet curcuit in London. You could do that for a decade and never get anywhere..

Oh well. At least we didn't have far to travel..

We have laid down the tracks for

gallery
do you come away
glass
and newie, we wish you well

They have yet to be mixed, but are already sounding great.. OK, you say you have heard all these songs before... Not like this you haven't. There is piano on them, the words to glass are totally new and it is also the first time that the tracks feature both the entire band and real drums.

Gallery is sounding like an anthem! Believe us.

Recording new E.P

The band are going into a studio in early March to record their first EP. This is pretty exciting for us as it will be the first time we have used a pro studio together. As long as our drummer doesn't khark it, we'll be fine...

You can probably expect our debut record to be out sometime in the early summer. But we aren't promising anything. We'll have probably changed our dead drummers about 10 times by then and our drummer will have died again.
